Fairs and Festivals

In the spring Boyne City holds it annual Mushroom Festival. Activities include carnival midway, arts and crafts, a guided practice hunt, and live entertainment.
During the summer beginning on Memorial Day weekend the Memorial parade and Fort Michilimackinac Pageant is held. Since 1963, Mackinaw City residents have presented the pageant, which re-enacts the takeover of the British-occupied Fort Michilimackinac by the Ottawa and Ojibwa Indians.
If you are a car buff the Straits Area Antique Auto Show has a car show with more than 3,000 custom street rods on display. The car show is held at St. Ignace every year.
Art lovers will appreciate the Art in the Park that is held every year for Petoskey residents. Here you can view and purchase artwork from Northern Michigan and beyond. This event usually draw over 125 artists every year.
